| Recipe Ingredients |
| 350g Bramely apples, peeled, cored and
sliced; 1 Cox's apple, peeled, cored and sliced; grated zest and juice of 1 lemon; 2 tbsp soft brown sugar; 1 tsp cinnamon; 100g sultanas; 270g frozen filo pastry, thawed; 50g butter, melted; 40g fresh breadcrumbs; 1 tbsp icing sugar. |
| Recipe Method |
| Put the apple slices in a bowl and mix with the
lemon zest and juice, brown sugar, cinnamon and sultanas. Place a filo sheet on a baking tray and brush with the melted butter, layer up the sheets of pastry, brushing each with some butter. Sprinkle over the breadcrumbs and pile the filling lengthways along the middle of the pastry. Fold in the pastry ends, then wrap up into a thick roll. Brush with melted butter and bake at 190c/gas5 for 35 minutes. Dust some icing sugar over to serve. |
