| 115g butter, softened; 75g granulated sugar; 2tbsp soft dark brown sugar; 2 eggs; 175g plain flour, sifted; 1 tsp baking powder; 120ml milk; 175g plain chocolate chips. makes 10 |

| Line a ten-hole muffin tin with paper muffin
cases. Put the butter and sugars in a bowl and cream together until fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at time, beating well after each addition. Fold a spoonful of the flour in, then fold a spoonful of the milk in, repeat with the remaining flour and milk. Spoon half of the mixture into the muffin cases. Then sprinkle the chocolate chips on top, then cover with the remaining mixture. Bake for 25 minutes at 190c/gas5. Leave to cool in the tin for 5 minutes before transfering to a wire rack. |
